Possible online services disruption due to Internet related outage

A worldwide technology outage is causing disruption to some State of Illinois online systems.  We are aware of this issue and are diligently working on restoration.

PERC LICENSEES: The deadline to renew your license without a late fee has been extended to July 31, 2024. Contact our call center at 1-800-560-6420 if you have questions. You can also view our helpful guides for retrieving your user name and for help resetting your password.

Effective July 24, 2024, we request individuals seeking updates on licensure applications make virtual appointments on Wednesdays instead of visiting the Department’s Springfield office. Learn more on the IDFPR's Contact Us webpage.

Division of Financial Institutions File a Complaint

You can submit an online complaint to the Division of Financial Institutions regarding a:

  • Car title Lender
  • Collection Agency
  • Consumer Installment Lender
  • Consumer Legal Funding Provider
  • Credit Union
  • Currency Exchange
  • Debt Management or Debt Settlement Provider
  • Money Transmitter
  • Payday Lender
  • Sales Finance Agency (example car or furniture financing)
  • Title Insurance Company or Agent
  • Tribal lender

"It is important to remember that the Division does not act as the complainant's attorney. It also does not have the power to adjudicate complaints. If a dispute turns on facts that do not involve a supervised entity's violation of a specific law or regulation (such as a matter concerning a financial institution’s exercise of internal policies or guidelines) the Division may not have the authority to obtain the relief a complainant is seeking. In that case, the Division will advise the complainant about other ways to pursue the complaint, such as through consulting a private attorney and/or initiating a court proceeding."

NOTE: Adobe Acrobat Reader may be required to access some functionality of the complaint forms.
