·         January 15 from 7:00 p.m. to January 16 at 9:00 a.m. CST

·         January 19 from 8:00 a.m. to January 20 at 8:00 a.m. CST

The purchase of a home is the most important financial decision and investment most people will make in their lifetime. In order to ensure that consumers are adequately prepared and educated, it is important that they are given sufficient resources.

Always make sure that your mortgage broker/company is licensed and your loan originator is registered in the State of Illinois. The link to licensees can be found here. 

The Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) has programs available for home buyers in the State of Illinois.

For those seeking to purchase a home in the City of Chicago, the Chicago Department of Housing (DOH) has programs for home buyers and owners.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) provides information on HUD-certified/approved housing counselor agencies and HUD homes.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is a good resource where consumers can file Identity Theft and other complaints online.
