Mortgage Lenders Examination Fees

For fiscal years 2025 and 2026, time expended in the conduct of any examination shall be billed by the Department at a rate of $2,200 per day, up to a maximum of 20 days per examination. Note that the Department has proposed changing this to an annual fee based on a licensee’s total mortgage loan volume for the previous calendar year. First Notice of this rule amendment was published in the August 2, 2024 Illinois Register. The public comment period for the proposed rulemaking is open through September 16th.
