IDFPR Progresses Work on Phase 3 of CORE, Adding 8 License Types

CHICAGO – The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) today announced the addition of eight new license types onto the state’s modernized licensing platform, CORE (Comprehensive Online Regulatory Environment), marking the completion of Phase 3.3 in the system’s implementation.
The latest update expands CORE license types to include professions involved in combat athletic competitions, such as boxing and full-contact martial arts. Establishing a more streamlined licensing structure for these professionals is critically important to ensuring participant safety and to maintain high safety standards at these events.
