Marriage and Family Therapy Licensing and Disciplinary Board
The Marriage and Family Therapy Licensing Act was signed into law in 1991. Marriage and family therapy refers to the evaluation and treatment of mental and emotional problems within the context of human relationships. The Board is appointed by the Secretary and is composed of five licensed practitioners and two public members. The Board is charged with providing expert knowledge and advice on disciplinary matters and professional performance and conduct.
