Illinois Condominium & Common Interest Community Ombudsperson
The Director of the Division of Real Estate (“DRE”) for the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (“IDFPR”) appointed Adrienne Levatino as the Condominium and Common Interest Community Ombudsperson (“CCIC Ombudsperson”) effective January 1, 2017.
The mission of the CCIC Ombudsperson is to provide information to unit owners, condominium and common interest community associations and their respective boards in order that they all may better understand their rights and obligations under the Condominium Property Act and the Common Interest Community Association Act.
What the CCIC Ombudsperson does and does not do:

Notices
Public Act 103-0563, which became effective November 17, 2023, extended the repeal date of the Condominium and Common Interest Community Ombudsperson Act (765 ILCS 615/1) to January 1, 2026. Corresponding changes were made to the Illinois Condominium Property Act (765 ILCS 605/1) and the Common Interest Community Association Act (765 ILCS 160/1-1).
