Springfield, IL, -- The Office of Banks and Real Estate announced that Commissioner Jack Schaffer signed the following orders from January 1, 1997 through December 31, 1997.

Addison:

Brad Elbert--9/23/97-- Real Estate Sales license was revoked for a minimum of ten (10) years for failure to account for monies belonging to others, and demonstrating unworthiness to act as a salesperson in such a manner as to endanger the interest of the public.

Joseph A. Fierro, Jr.--6/25/97--Real Estate Broker license was reprimanded and a $500 fine was imposed for allowing salespersons to serve as officers of a real estate corporation and allowing them to own more than 49% of the shares of stock .

Anna:

Steven W. Landreth--9/23/97-- Real Estate Broker license was placed on probation for a period of six (6) months for failure to remit monies belonging to others.

Arlington Heights:

Pete M. Berry--8/26/97--Mr. Peter Berry was placed on probation for 9 months commencing August 26, 1997, arising from his guilty plea in 1996 to a misdemeanor arising from a traffic altercation in 1995.  Mr. Berry completed a one year period of supervision by the Circuit Court of Cook County.  Mr. Berry is permitted to practice real estate during his probation and is required to submit reports to the Agency concerning his real estate practice.  NOTE:  Previously reported description of discipline imposed upon Mr. Berry stated that he was "convicted" of a criminal offense.  A guilty plea and supervision under Illinois law does not generally constitute a "conviction".
