IDFPR Division of Banking Charters New Bank

News Release – Thursday, August 6, 2015

Aon Trust Company, Lincolnshire, Illinois recently opened for business as the newest Illinois State Chartered bank. The bank is the first state bank chartered in Illinois as a de novo institution since 2010.

Aon Trust Company will limit its activities to accepting and executing trusts and providing investment services to businesses.

Illinois Director of Banking Michael Mannion indicated that Aon had a number of options in selecting which state to form its bank and we are pleased that Aon chose Illinois. Illinois continues to have the largest number of banks headquartered in the United States.
