CSBS Appoints DOB’s Krapf to NMLS Policy Committee
SPRINGFIELD – The Conference of State Bank Supervisors recently announced the appointment of Kyle Krapf to the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) Policy Committee. Krapf currently serves as the Director of Mortgage Banking Licensing at the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation’s (IDFPR) Division of Banking. The NMLS Policy Committee’s chief function is to provide the State Regulatory Registry (SRR) a mechanism to make policy decisions for the NMLS upon consideration of input from NMLS Participating State Agencies, licensees and other sources. Krapf’s two-year appointment began July 1st.

Schneider, IDFPR Secretary. “As our Director of Mortgage Banking Licensing, Kyle brings a wealth of knowledge and supervisory experience that will benefit the NMLS Policy Committee. As a member of the SRR Board of Managers, I commend the CSBS for choosing Kyle for this board appointment.”
The NMLS Policy Committee is comprised of eleven state financial services regulators. Under the jurisdiction of the SRR Board of Managers, the NMLS Policy Committee addresses issues including: regulatory policies that govern NMLS, NMLS development decisions, prioritization of NMLS functionality and suppression requests concerning NMLS Consumer Access.
