Illinois Regulatory Financial Innovation Office Hours Set for October 18th
State regulator aims to support emerging digital innovation
CHICAGO - Fintech startups and established companies seeking to develop new ideas and technology for the financial services market will have another opportunity to bounce ideas off Illinois’ financial regulator on October 18th in Chicago. The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) will be hosting its second round of office hours at Currency (20 W. Kinzie, 12th Floor) in Chicago. The Fintech office hours are a part of IDFPR’s Financial Innovation Initiative, which aims to support fintech businesses through regular engagement and education, while gaining real-time insight into how current laws and regulations are impacting these emerging technologies.
“With the overwhelming success of our first-ever office hours, we are continuing in our endeavor to break down barriers between innovators and government by making ourselves available for dialogue on how Illinois regulations impact new innovative technologies, “said Bryan A. Schneider, IDFPR Secretary. “We encourage anyone interested in having a candid discussion on all matters related to financial innovation to reserve a spot for our Fall office hours.”
