State of Illinois Athletic Board
The State of Illinois Athletic Board was created by the Boxing and Full-contact Martial Arts Act, 225 ILCS 105/2, and serves in an advisory capacity to the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. It consists of 7 persons appointed by the Secretary. The Board includes a licensed physician, a member of the martial arts community, and a member of the martial arts community or boxing community. Members serve 5-year terms and until his or her successor is appointed and qualified.
