CORE Phase 2 Update: Phase 2 Complete – 99 Professions Now Live!

IDFPR has successfully completed Phase 2 of its two-year CORE implementation. A total of 99 professions are now available in CORE.

New applications for licensure are being accepted in CORE for all 99 professions. Additionally, renewals are available in CORE for those who created their new application in the system.

For all other transactions—including renewals for initial applications not created in CORE, restorations, reinstatements, and professions not yet transitioned within the four Divisions-- please continue to follow the existing process until further notice.

We are continuing to make progress on Phase 3, which will bring even more functionality and license types into CORE as part of its ongoing two-year plan scheduled for completion in 2026.

For renewals, restorations, reinstatements, and all other profession types, please continue following the current process. Detailed instructions can be found at IDFPR | Professional Licensing in Illinois.

This is part of IDFPR’s two-year plan to modernize all of the the Department’s licensing services and regulatory functions (including consumers filing complaints against licensees accused of wrongdoing).
