NOTICE: IDFPR Introduces New Online Licensing System!

On October 30, 2024, IDFPR launched CORE, a new online system for professionals to apply for licensure in Illinois.

New applications for Clincial Psychology, Psychologist Continuing Education Program and Prescribing Psychologist Clinical Rotations Program are now available in CORE

  • NOTICE OF PSYPACT PROPOSED RULEMAKING:
    • The Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT) Commission has published Proposed Rules for consideration and comment.  The Proposed Rules can be found HERE.
    • The proposed rules are being considered to:
      • Add a mechanism for the formula used to assess the Annual Assessment fees being charged to the states to be reviewed and modified by the PSYPACT Commission as needed.
      • Ensure the maximum Annual Assessment fee is set at no greater than $6,000 per jurisdiction.
  • These Proposed Rules are open for a 60-day public comment period for stakeholders interested in providing comments.  Written comments may be submitted to the PSYPACT Commission via the PSYPACT website (https://psypact.gov/page/PublicComment). The deadline for submission of written comments is February 20, 2026.
  • We have a new Third Party Authorization for licensure applicants, which may be found here! This is for applicants to authorize individuals or companies to contact IDFPR on your behalf regarding your application. All other versions of the form will no longer be accepted by the Department starting May 1, 2024.
